Food Distribution

Buffalo, New York was just deemed the second worst city in the United States for childhood poverty. Combined with that, the surrounding community of Gerard Place continues to be classified as a food desert. A food desert is when the nearest grocery store is over 2 miles away from where you live. Gerard Place is committed to helping families attain healthy food through our partnership with our Monday and Wednesday Take Out Meal Program partnership with Friends of Night People and our Gerard Place Food Pantry.

Food Distribution

We are here to serve the people of this 14215 community as much as we can.  Through the very generous donations of individuals, foundations and corporate groups we are able to help people with non-perishable goods, personal care and household items as we have them.  We have seen the need greatly increase since the pandemic started and that has only made us more committed to staying relevant to the needs of this community.

If you would like to donate wish list items for our Food Pantry via Amazon, please click here.  Items will be shipped directly to Gerard Place.

Take Out Meal Program: Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 PM, Community Center doors.
